Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of all services provided by Wasabi Hosting. Violation of this policy may result in service suspension or termination without refund. For resource usage limits, please refer to our Fair Use Policy.
1. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on our infrastructure:
1.1 Illegal Activities
- Hosting or distributing content that violates any applicable law
- Child exploitation material or content
- Copyright infringement or pirated content
- Fraud, phishing, or identity theft
- Hacking, unauthorized access attempts, or security breaches
1.2 Network & Security Violations
- DDoS attacks or participation in botnets
- Port scanning or network discovery without authorization
- Bruteforce attacks on any systems
- Operating TOR exit nodes or relay nodes
- Running open proxies or anonymizing services without explicit approval
- Cryptocurrency mining on any service type
- Operating seedboxes or torrent services
- Tunneling or proxying traffic outside our network without explicit approval
- Any activity that causes network disruption or degrades service for other customers
1.3 Email & Messaging Abuse
- Sending Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE/spam)
- Operating open mail relays
- Running unconfirmed mailing lists (all lists must be confirmed opt-in)
- Purchasing or using third-party email lists
- Sending emails that violate CAN-SPAM Act or similar regulations
- Operating accounts for entities listed in Spamhaus ROKSO database
Important Mail Port Restriction:
Mail ports (TCP: 25, 465, 587) are blocked by default to prevent abuse and IP blacklisting. Opening these ports requires explicit approval via support ticket and valid business justification.
IP Blacklisting Policy:
Wasabi Hosting reserves the right to suspend services immediately if illegal activity is detected or if the server's IP address becomes blacklisted on Spamhaus or similar reputation services.
1.4 Other Prohibited Activities
- Distributing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Operating services designed to circumvent security measures
- Providing material support for activities that violate this AUP
- Reselling services to individuals or entities that violate this AUP
2. Monitoring & Enforcement
2.1 Detection Methods
- Automated monitoring for resource abuse and suspicious activity
- Manual review of abuse reports
- Compliance checks with blacklist databases (Spamhaus, etc.)
- Network traffic analysis for security threats
2.2 Enforcement Actions
Progressive Enforcement (for non-critical violations):
- Warning notification via email/ticket
- Temporary suspension (24-48 hours)
- Extended suspension pending resolution
- Service termination without refund
Immediate Termination (for critical violations):
- Illegal activities or content
- Active attacks on other systems
- IP blacklisting on major reputation services
- Repeated violations after warnings
2.3 Appeals Process
Customers may appeal enforcement actions by opening a support ticket within 7 days. Appeals must include:
- Explanation of the situation
- Steps taken to resolve the issue
- Measures to prevent future violations
3. Customer Responsibilities
- Maintain secure passwords and protect account credentials
- Keep all software updated and patched
- Monitor your services for unauthorized use
- Respond promptly to abuse notifications
- Ensure all users of your services comply with this AUP
- Report suspected violations to Wasabi Hosting support
4. Reporting Violations
To report AUP violations or abuse:

- Include relevant evidence (logs, screenshots, timestamps)
We investigate all reports and take appropriate action within 24-48 hours.
5. Policy Updates
Wasabi Hosting reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time. Changes will be announced via our Discord announcements channel. Continued use of our services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
